Sea Games In Korat, Thailand

I read joy and also heartfelt joy on how a Malaysian marathon run paid all his expenses and managed to presuade the OCM to enable him to represent Malaysia in the Marathon event in the Korat Sea Games.

This he did it on his own. Being just another average wage earner did not stop him from fulfilling his dreams of representing the country.For me it all boils down to true dedication. I have played field hockey at the very highest level but didnt pursue it further due to the indifferent attention paid by the people in power.

Well what can i say! Indeed Malaysian sports have all the this in the making. While some sacrifice everything they got to get the chance to represent the country, others take for granted the oppurtunity given to them. Oh god why can this people ever learn that repsenting the country is the utmost joy for the true sportsmen. We have the sepaktakraw team withdrawing themself from going to Korat due the diff balls used by the organiser. The organiser being Thailand, one of our Legendary opponent. We all know that the organiser have all the upper hand when it comes to making sure that the gold medals staying with them then rather going to the opponents.

We need to have the balls to play the ball, my dear countrymen. The sepak takraw team should have gone to Korat, and fight till the very end knowing that they have tried. Win or lose in secondary. The sports ministry have spent so much money and time on all these players not for the association to pullout at the last minute.

They have a responsibility towards the country, the people to show up and fight for the medals not walkaway citing lame reasons.

Well Azalina Othman the ball is in your court now, dont let this little setback by some self centred people and association take away all the credit is due to you. Whether is direct or indirect participation by yourself , this country;s image as sporting nation is taking shape. Keep Up the Good work!

Malaysia Boleh!

I was browsing through one of my daily dose of blogs and across this link in the blog. This blog is by students of local university. I got to tell you that this is one of the best blog posting i have read in a very very long time.
This post actually will hit a nail direct to the mentality of our malaysians. Some of our fellow countrymen have this saying that actually classify certain race to certain traits. The traits have been spoken and mention for a very long time.

At least this blogger has the maturity for his and also is aware of his surrounding unlike some of his extended frens around.

I sometimes dont understand why ppl associate race against traits...

"without prejudice"

Once i was having a discussion with a colleaque who stressed that ppl from a a certain race tends to get drunk always and go back home to his family and beat them up. My frens kept insisting that the is the way of life for this certain race.. That got me worked up so i slammed him that even though the guys from this certain race get drunk often and abuse their wife and family, they in no way will actually rape their own childrens.

My fren just kept his mouth shut. So u see, its wrong to categorise ppl according to acts by some of them.

Life is Precious. Why take it??? part 2.

This incident happened abt 3 weeks ago.. A close fren had left the country of expedition to a far away country.

While she was there something happened back home which was rather very depressing.. Her younger bro committed suicide.. This chap is only around 33 years... Why in the world did he do this.... why????

He drank a banned pesticide knowingly, worse still he drank a cup full. The best part is he know what is the effect of this substance will have on him.

As we, the close frens drove down to see the mom coz only she was around as the sister is in overseas,.. I was overwhelmed by the feeling of lost and also anger. The family of my fren have been going through all sorts of agony and sorrows.. My fren is a lady in her 40's not married yet, she has a younger brother who is married but not happy. Anor younger bro is sort of an alcholic , has lost the functions of his kidneys. too much too drink....... n now anor bro taking his own life

Im not sure hows my fren going to take on this mishap.

Later that days as we were returning home, we came to know the so call reason behind the suicide. The bro was in a depression and nervous breakdown over the period of the a month. Always sitting is a dark room. Never mixing with anyone..

All this started when he wanted to get married to a lady who is a divorcee and has 2 kids. The mom was relucted to let this marriage go on. The mother has only the interest of her son. Which mom will not? Earlier this chap was actually got engaged but didnt work out as the girl was a little bossy and annoying.

So one thing led to anor , till it ended in one lost soul.
